Bulkhead Construction

Here's a few pics of the bulkhead frame. The bulkhead will be used for multiple purposes;
  1. To house the concealed curtain tracks
  2. To house the concealed projector screen
  3. To house the centre speaker (which in turn will house the IR receiver). It will be angled down at about 10 degrees to direct it at the seating position.
  4. To potentially house the Left & Right front speakers. I will only do this if the LCR imaging is crap because I'm using floor standers for L & R, with the centre being way up high in the bulkhead.

These pictures show the separate channels for curtains and screen, you can also see the cutout for the centre speaker. The bulkhead will eventually be sheeted with plasterboard.

I had to indent the ends of the bulkhead to allow space for curtain rails on the side windows. This means that the front third of the room will be covered in thick charcoal grey curtains.... I still don't know how I managed to get my wife to approve that!
