Projector Screenshots

By popular demand, here's some rudimentary screenshots from less than ideal conditions, namely;
  • Default settings on projector and DVD player
  • Taken during the day with ambient light behind the screen (this is a worst case scenario)
  • The DVD player was incorrectly set to NTSC, so the output is 480i (which is probably why you see the combing in the pictures)
  • Poor quality camera and photographer
The DVD player is the Oppo DV-970HD connected via HDMI. For simplicity, I am not using the VP30 video processor just yet.

Luke Perry?
Curved edges on the screen?
Slats behind the screen?
Light pouring in to an HT room?
So many things wrong with this scenario!
